Remy Ma, became a major success in 2016, earning Grammy nominations for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song. But behind the accolades, the song has been the center of a messy credit tug-of-war.
Joe’s remarks come amid ongoing legal tensions. Miami rapper Fly Havana has accused both Joe and French Montana of excluding him from the song’s creation credits and profits.
The active lawsuit claims Havana co-wrote the track but was never properly acknowledged or paid. While the legal battle continues, Joe has consistently recognized French’s contribution but maintains that the credit should be shared equally.
He’s made it clear that French’s narrative doesn’t match the reality of how the song came together.
